But, but, they’re so much fun!
I had one of those mornings. Staring blankly at the monitor. Unable to type. Uncertain where I was going. So I went to the basement.

I don’t have any delay modules. For eurorack. For lack of an idea what I should be doing, I made one.
It’s a hack on a reverb board which can be had for < 3 Euros. The essentials are:
In essence, this is the hack I detail here: https://poetaster.org/pt2399-hack but with vactrols for CV control.
The inputs are audio in. CV time in. Feedack in. Out. And it can sound like this.
This example is with ZLO from spctrl modulating the feedback amount and the delay time. The drum maching is WGD’s chambord with firmware of mine and a drum kit I threw together.
It works really well, though I did notice an issue. It draws too much power. So, I hacked in a 2.1mm jack and power it with a 9volt Lipo :) Frankly, I just don’t have any more 2Amp 12 volt power supplies lying around. So, I cheated ;)
Another view and two. I have a bunch of designs that didn’t turn out. But that doesn’t mean I can’t repurpose the pcbs! kettle finds a new purpose as delay (was a sort of mixer).
