the rack

The rack is an analog eurorack module which can be used as an octave fuzz (8/4/2up or 2/4/8down) or a clock divider. or mix pairs for mad squareness.

This circuit has a lot in common with https://www.bartonmusicalcircuits.com/4046/index.html but had a completely different origin. I needed both clockdivider and multiplier in a hurry (who doesn’t) and was really familiar with the 4040 binary ripple counter. I’m also a fan of the 4046 PLL. That, I’ve used it to build a theremin. And a vco. After I started tinkering on breadboard, I was reading taking a break reading what eddy was up to, https://www.eddybergman.com, and he had a waveshaper featured. Which turned out to be very similar at the core to what I was tinkering with. In the end, I took a couple of ideas from them, the slew bit in the main and tought about sending them a rack.
